Демонстрация гордости своей национальностью не всегда соответствует хорошему вкусу, если это не связано с экстремальными ситуациями, например, когда необходимо объединить народ против реальной внешней угрозы и поднять боевой дух. Во всех остальных случаях гордость тем, что человек родился в конкретной стране из более чем двухсот стран мира, свидетельствует о том, что у этого человека нет других особых достижений, чем место его рождения.
Речь идет о антитезисе, который может измениться в жизни человека, например, при переезде или изменении национальности в регистре населения. Гордиться нужно своими достижениями, всем, чем вы занимались, вкладывая усилия и воздействуя на свою жизнь или жизнь других. Однако есть случаи, когда гордость человека своей национальностью вызывает только негативные эмоции у большинства остальных. Именно это иллюстрируют те, кто наклеивает на свой автомобиль надпись «Я русский».
